Interesting, Old and Out of Place Metal Objects

Possibly a Knights Templar Connection?

On the left is what appears to be a somewhat interesting old, and rather normal looking hand tooled metal picture (seems to be brass) of the "Last Supper". However, what is not quite so normal is the enlarged image on the right of the three men seated next to Jesus - Are they apostles, soldiers, alien ET's, or what? And what type of message was the artist trying to communicate?
